Kantarines is a traditional woven textile originating from the Ilocos region in Northern Luzon, Philippines—particularly in weaving communities such as Bulbulala in La Paz, Abra, and parts of Ilocos Norte and Sur. This iconic weave is recognized for its bold, colorful stripes and alternating patterns, usually in hues of red, blue, yellow, green, and white. The design is often described as linear and repetitive, giving it a rhythmic aesthetic.
