1. What is Hibla Philippines?
Hibla Philippines is a cultural and social enterprise that works with traditional weavers, artisans, and indigenous communities to preserve and promote Philippine weaving heritage. We offer handcrafted textile products, workshops, and collaborative projects rooted in heritage, sustainability, and community empowerment.

2. Who founded Hibla Philippines?
Hibla was founded by Romae Chanice “Nice” Marquez—an artist, anthropologist, and cultural advocate—committed to sharing indigenous narratives through visual art, design, and community-based partnerships.

3. What does “hibla” mean?
“Hibla” is a Filipino word that translates to “fiber” or “thread.” It reflects both the literal and symbolic strands of our cultural identity woven into the fabric of our heritage.

4. What kinds of products does Hibla offer?

We offer garments, accessories, and home items made with handwoven fabrics from different weaving communities in the Philippines. Each item reflects traditional patterns, modern design, and ethical craftsmanship.

5. Where do the weaves come from?
We source directly from various weaving communities across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao—including Ilocos, Abra, Kalinga, and parts of the Visayas and Mindanao. We work closely with local cooperatives and family weavers.

6. Are all products handmade?
Yes. Each item features handwoven fabric and is assembled with care by artisans or through small-batch production to ensure authenticity and quality.

About Customize My Attire Beta

7. What is “Customize My Attire (BETA)”?
This is our soft-launch digital feature that allows you to design your own Hibla outfit using available traditional weaves. You can choose the textile, garment type, and finishing details to create a one-of-a-kind piece.

8. Is the feature fully available now?
The feature is currently in BETA, which means we are testing its functions and gathering feedback. Some parts may still be undergoing updates, and more features (like 3D previews and advanced design tools) are coming soon.

9. How do I place an order through the Customize feature?
Browse the available weaves in the system, select your preferred cut and style, enter your measurements, and submit your design. A Hibla team member will get in touch to finalize details, pricing, and timeline.

10. Can I book a consultation before customizing?
Yes. We encourage a short consultation via email or message to assist you in making the best design choices based on textile availability, fit, and weaving timelines. 

11. Can I visit your office to for a Hibla Team Member to take my measurements? 
Yes. You can visit us at The Astbury, 2 Orion, Makati City, MWF 2PM onwards. Please message us before going so we can assist you properly.

Workshops & Cultural Engagements

11. What kinds of workshops does Hibla offer?
We offer basic weaving workshops, frame loom sessions, and cultural discussions on Philippine textile traditions. These are ideal for individuals, groups, schools, corporate teams, and company events.

12. Can we request a private or themed workshop?
Absolutely. We accept custom bookings for small group or 1-on-1 weaving workshops, as well as curated sessions for events, institutions, and embassies. Just contact us with your theme or request.

Order, Shipping, and Support

13. Do you ship internationally?
Yes. We accept both domestic and international orders. Shipping rates vary depending on location.

14. What is the lead time for custom pieces?
Since our products are handcrafted and often made-to-order, please allow 2–4 weeks for production. For “Customize My Attire,” lead times may vary depending on textile availability and complexity.

15. How can I support Hibla?
You can support us by purchasing from our shop, booking a workshop, collaborating with us, or simply helping us share the stories of our weavers and communities.
